Learning to read using the nationally recognised MULTILIT Reading Tutor Program
Annie’s Centre is proud to announce that it is now accredited to offer the MULTILIT Reading Tutor Program (Revised) to struggling readers and their families.
Reading is one of the most important skills we learn. However, some people find it especially difficult to learn to read. They require intensive and effective reading instruction. MULTILIT (Making Up For Lost Time In Literacy) is a reading program that has been developed in Australia at Macquarie University. It is both nationally and internationally recognised as an effective literacy intervention program based on sound scientific principles and research. In fact, the MULTILIT Reading Tutor Program was chosen by the NSW Department of Education (DET) for the National Partnership Program.
What does the MULTILIT Reading Tutor Program involve and who is it for?
The MULTILIT Reading Tutor Program involves working intensively and directly with students and in partnership with parents and teachers. At Annie’s Centre we are offering the MULTILIT Reading Tutor Program via several weekly, one-hour sessions for approximately one school term. MULTILIT programs offer proven methods to improve reading accuracy, fluency, comprehension and spelling. Highly trained and experienced professionals with backgrounds in Education, Psychology, Speech Pathology and related areas deliver the programs at Annie’s Centre. The MULTILIT Reading Tutor Program (Revised) is suitable for both primary and high school students.
