Can I obtain rebates or benefits to offset my treatment costs?
Depending on your circumstances, the cost of services accessed at Annie’s Centre may be partially off-set by rebates from Medicare, other government-funded initiatives or your private health care provider. We understand that it can be confusing to navigate through the various programs and requirements, so we have provided a quick-glance table that sheds light on the various options and who to contact to make the appropriate arrangements.
Using rebates and benefits at Annie’s Centre
Using rebates and benefits at Annie’s Centre is a straightforward, three-step process:
- Ensure that you have completed arrangements for access under any government programs or private health funds before you access the service that you wish to claim against. Rebates and benefits cannot be applied retroactively. If claiming under the Better Access or Chronic Disease Management programs, please be aware that sessions you attend without your child are only claimable if there is a separate referral in one of the attending parent’s names.
- If claiming under a government funded program, provide us with your referral letter in advance. This allows us to link you in with the program and, if possible, process your claims on your behalf. If you are using your private health fund to offset your treatment expenses you do not require a referral or any special documentation before accessing our services.
- If your banking and/or funding details are registered with the relevant agencies, or if your health fund is registered with HICAPS, we can process your claim on the spot after each treatment session. Otherwise, we will provide you with an itemised receipt to ensure that you can process your claim yourself. Please be aware that Medicare and private health fund rebates cannot be claimed concurrently.
